Released 6 Vietnamese people who had been adjusted from COVID-19 in Cambodia to return home

The Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia has just distributed the two countries' authorities to send 6 citizens who have just been adjusted COVID-19 in Cambodia to return home.

On the morning of April 14, at Moc Bai International Border Gate (Tay Ninh), representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia distributed the General Department of Immigration (the Ministry of Home Affairs of Cambodia) and functional forces of the two countries at the national border gate. Ba Vet international border gate and Moc Bai international border gate handed over and received 6 Vietnamese citizens from Cambodia to return home. Citizens of Gia Lai, Hoa Binh, Quang Tri, Bac Giang, Nam Dinh, and Tien Giang were cured of COVID-19 in Cambodia. This is the third handover of Vietnamese citizens from mid-March up to now, bringing the total number of Vietnamese treated from COVID-19 in Cambodia to their home country as expected to 21.

Amid the complex ongoing COVID-19 epidemic in Cambodia, the number of infections in the community continues to be high. Especially, it is not only in thePhnom Penh capital and in Kandal provinces but also in Svey Rieng and Preah Sihanouk. The reception and treatment of patients are also under strong pressure on the management of the patients after the treatment is cured.

At the request of the Cambodian General Department of Immigration, from the beginning of March up to now, the Vietnam Embassy in Cambodia closely coordinated with the functional units of the Cambodia Immigration General Department to accelerate the settlement of legal procedures to support the timely repatriation of Vietnamese citizens after the treatment is cured.
