In early July, the Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts met and worked with the Colombian Embassy to implement the Vietnam - Colombia mural painting project for an outdoor public area in Hanoi. When completed, the mural will become a symbol of friendship, understanding and relationship between the two countries.

The Embassy of Colombia hopes that this project will be an opportunity to promote the cultural and artistic values of the two countries and at the same time bring positive solutions and messages to improve the ecological environment, increase attraction for public spaces in Hanoi.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the project ensures compliance with Covid-19 prevention and control regulations in the implementation area. In terms of funding, the Colombian Embassy in Vietnam pays for the construction and composition fee of a Colombian artist. The Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts pay the composition fee of a Vietnamese artist from the service revenue of the Institute.

It is expected that around August, the project will be constructed at Complex 01 (Hanoi), and in November will be constructed at Hanoi University of Culture.
