Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on April 25, 2019 led a senior Vietnamese delegation to attend the “Belt and Road” Forum on April 25 to 27, 2019 in Beijing, at the invitation of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.

On the morning of April 25, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc had an audience with General Secretary and President Xi Jinping in Beijing. He welcomed China’s deployment of grand projects with advanced technology and environmental friendliness in Vietnam. He proposed that the two sides should enhance cooperation in management and sustainable use of water resources of the Mekong River and the shared rivers; reschedule the agreement on the hot line of marine fishing and cooperation in monitoring nuclear safety and continue to coordinate the implementation of 3 inland border documents between Vietnam and China.
General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping stressed that the Party and State of China have attached importance to the relationship with Vietnam and unanimously agreed to together with Vietnam maintain the high-level meetings, consolidate confidence, boost the substantial cooperation, expand the people-to-people interaction, strengthen the traditional friendly relations, control well the differences and enhance the China-Vietnam strategic partnership for stable, healthy and sustainable development; he also affirmed that China supports Vietnam to promote its role at the multilateral mechanisms, particularly when Vietnam undertakes the role of the Chairman of ASEAN in 2020.
Until now, there are now 150 countries and international organization having signed the agreements on cooperation in the “Belt and Road” initiative.
The implementation of this initiative is aimed at ensuring the cooperation principles of peace, equality, mutual interests and mutual respect, conforming to international law and the UN Charter, aiming towards making a contribution to the common development and prosperity of the countries./.

According to initial statistics, over 886,000 high school students have registered for the national high school examinations 2019.

This figure was updated on the morning of April 24, 2019. Of these registered students, 468,000 students have registered to attend the combined social sciences tests (history, geography and citizen education).
The national high school examinations in 2019 will be organized on June 25 to 27, 2019./.
Successful liver transplantation for a small, underweight child
A little girl with 6.7 kg in weight has just undergone a successful liver transplantation at the Central Pediatric Hospital.

This baby patient weighs only 6.7kg, causing a big difficulty for a liver transplantation.
The patient’s parents were ready to donate their liver to save their child. In the end, the mother did give part of her liver to be transplanted into her child’s body.
After 12 hours of operation, the doctors successfully transplanted part of the mother’s liver into the child. At present, the child’s health condition has developed satisfactorily after 20 days of liver transplantation.
Up to now, the Central Pediatric Hospital has successfully carried out 14 liver transplantation for children./.
Dioxin treatment project at Bien Hoa Airport launched

According to statistics, there are now 4.8 million people being exposed to the agent orange/dioxin in Vietnam, in which over 3 million people are the victims of agent orange/dioxin, affecting the third generation. On the other hand, in recent time, Vietnam and the United States of America have cooperated well to conduct the surveys and evaluation of dioxin contaminated environment and successfully treated over 150,000 cubic meters of land contaminated with dioxin at Da Nang Airport and over 32.4 hectares of land were handed over to farmers for cultivation.
Even though this is the initial results, it has an important significance in boosting the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and the USA./.
