This area is the junction of all the railway lines nationwide lying in the core area. If the above-said scheme comes true, it will affect massively the urban development and traffic in the capital city in the immediate and future stages.
This scheme, no matter what is its utility, is running counter to the criteria of the depopulation from the core area, while the Hanoi Railway Station is being re-planned as the junction station.
With the ever greater population in the city, the congestion of traffic is looming large, particularly in the area around the Hanoi Railway Station, any mistakes in the planning work will lead to the unpredictable consequences.
And as the Prime Minister has warned it, the Hanoi People’s Committee should be very careful in the planning work so as to ensure the sustainable development./.
