A Cuban delegation led by First Secretary of the National Committee of the Young Communist League (UJC) Susely Morfa González visited a relic site of the provisional revolutionary government of the Republic of South Vietnam in Cam Lo district, the central province of Quang Tri on May 20.
The visit took place on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of Cuban President Fidel Castro’s visit to Quang Tri.
Cuban guests met Vietnamese officers, soldiers and students in the site and recalled the history of glorious struggles of the two nations for national independence.
González said the UJC holds an activity each month during this year to mark the occasion.
The same day, the delegation visited Quang Tri Ancient Citadel – a special national relic site that witnessed 81 days and nights of Quang Tri people’s fight against the US invaders, and special national relic Hien Luong – Ben Hai river banks.
